OUR STORY
Flaxmaker is a dynamic resortwear brand fusing bold yet simple designs with a conscious mindset. Inspiration comes from thousands of holiday islands around the world, the collection combines local history, culture, plants and flowers to create unique geometric shapes and iconic prints.
THE ATELIER
From the northeast corner of China,blooms a team of more than 50 women, a small family owned business with over 15 years experience producing swimwear and resort wear,whose talented hands become the brush that gives life to the designer's vision. In the crafting of each piece, these artisans imprint their personal touch, interweaving authentic brand prints and carving unique details with ancestral techniques. In this atelier, timeless masterpieces are born that skillfully defy the fleeting passage of trends.Over 90% of production is crafted in-house, atelier through a vertically integrated model.
As a women-founded and led company, with 76% of the team composed of mum, the brand believes in the transformative power of the feminine force.
SUSTAINABILITY
We are a brand with purpose. Our goal is to design and produce iconic pieces which are designed to be timeless and for them to last a lifetime. This is why we do not follow trends and seek to create our own path developing excellent quality products that ensure a longer life cycle and reduce rapid consumption.
We responsibly produce our pieces through the ‘made to order’ approach. This way we avoid overproduction and provide our customers with more conscious and exclusive products.
As we continue to grow, we are committed to pursue our search for more ways to reduce our impact.
DIGITAL PRINTIN
Our designs are digitally printed which drastically reduces water and toxic waste, compared to other printing techniques. Saving millions of liters of water every year.
FABRIC USAGE
We optimize our production processes giving the greatest use to our fabrics to avoid waste. Because of this in some of our pieces prints might fall differently making them unique.
